The Budgets and Federal Grants Analysis is comprised of two units, Budget Office and Federal Grants Analysis.
The Budget Office is responsible for building the department's budget, working with Department of Finance, Legislative Analyst's Office, and Legislature in reviewing the Governor's January 10th Budget, monitoring department spending authority, managing the department's out-of-state travel blanket, and providing program support to monitor, adjust, and project budget allotments for the department's program areas.
The Federal Grants Analysis provides customer service between Accounting and Grants Management by sharing a monthly federal grant reporting tool to program management to provide technical assistance in fund spenddown and accuracy of expenses.
