The Logistics Management Directorate is responsible for a wide variety of Cal OES functions, including asset management, fleet administrations, facilities management, information technology systems, warehousing, forms and record management, mail operations, copy services center, green programs, public safety communications, and emergency and disaster logistics. The Logistics Management Directorate is broken into three sections; Public Safety Communications Divisions, Information Technology, and Disaster Logistics Planning & Coordination.
Public Safety Communications Division
Public Safety Communications (PSC) is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of the statewide microwave network and public safety radio communication systems used by California’s public safety agencies’ first responders on a 24 hours/ 7 days-a-week/ 365 days-a-year basis. Accurate and reliable information is critical during an emergency which is why this section is vitally important to the Cal OES mission.

Information Technology
The Technology Operations Division supports the Cal OES strategic plan by creating an interoperable, all-risk, collaborative environment by providing technical assistance, education, systems, equipment, and personnel to support the technology needs of public safety in California. Provides all necessary Cal OES information technology systems including enterprise applications, desktop and mobile PCs, mobile and desk phones, email, remote access, network printing, Cal EOC, file sharing, and web services to the public, partners and staff.

The Disaster Logistics Planning and Coordination branch implements the Continuity of Operations and Continuity of Government plan which focuses on essential functions and ensures continued operation during emergencies and maintains mission critical operations after any emergency or disaster. Disaster Logistics Planning and Coordination also provides logistical planning, synchronization, accountability, and deliver of resources to support California’s catastrophic disaster plans.
