ADA Compliance

Civil Rights, EEO and Health & Safety

The Cal OES Office of Civil Rights, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Programs has oversight to ensure that all internal functions of this agency are ADA compliant. The ADA Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and enforcing federal ADA requirements by notifying the appropriate division chief of any changes to ADA regulations and provisions to ensure policies comply with state and federal statutes, regulations, and reporting requirements.

Cal OES is committed to the principles of nondiscrimination and equal opportunity in employment and in the delivery of services. No qualified individual with a disability, based on disability, will be denied employment, or participation in the benefits of the services, programs, or activities offered by Cal OES. Furthermore, Cal OES will make all reasonable modifications to policies and programs when necessary to avoid discrimination based on disability, and to ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy all of its programs, services and activities.

ADA Complaints

In compliance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), anyone who wishes to file a complaint alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of services, activities, programs, or benefits by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), may do so in writing within 60 calendar days after the alleged violation to:

Cal OES EEO Office
ADA Coordinator
3650 Schriever Ave.
Mather, CA. 95655

The complaint should contain information about the alleged discrimination, the complainant’s name, address, and phone number, the location, date, and description of the problem using the ADA Complaint Form. Alternative means of filing complaints, such as personal interviews or a tape recording of the complaint is acceptable for persons with disabilities upon request.

The ADA Coordinator or designee will reach out to the complainant within 15 calendar days after receipt of the complaint to discuss the complaint and possible resolutions. Within 15 calendar days of the meeting, the ADA Coordinator or designee will respond in writing, and where appropriate, in a format accessible to the complainant, such as large print, Braille, or audio tape, explaining the position of Cal OES and offer options for resolution of the complaint.

For specific questions regarding accessibility to any Cal OES program, service and/or activity, please refer to the ADA Policy or contact the Cal OES ADA Coordinator, Robin Frazier, Chief of the Equal Employment Opportunity Office, via e-mail at
