Civil Rights, EEO and Health & Safety

The Cal OES Health & Safety Office provides leadership and guidance regarding health and safety issues. The Health & Safety coordinator is responsible for administering and providing oversight for the following areas:

    • Ensures health and safety rules/regulations are compliant with Cal OSHA
    • Governs associated Cal OES policies and procedures
    • Delivers related training programs
    • Conducts employee ergonomic evaluations
    • Provides resources for the Cal OES Employee Assistance Program (EAP) program
    • Shares cost data and statistics to management
    • Contributes to the investigation of workplace injuries

Cal OES hopes to benefit from having a Health & Safety coordinator with reduced injuries in the workplace and a healthier overall workforce.
